Extensibility

There are two ways to extend the power of MQuote.

Firstly, user defined fields may be added to the Item, Customer, Supplier and Quote tables. You can specify the type or the field which may be, for example, an integer or string, or may be based upon a formula that you enter. You can obviously set the value of this field, and use it in searches or when sorting data. Where appropriate it can also be included in quotes.

Secondly MQuote provides you with the facility to enter scripts which can be triggered by certain events - for example, opening or closing a quote, adding an item to a quote, etc. The scripts have access to other information with MQuote - for example, when selecting an item for a quote, the script would have access to all the item, quote and customer fields. Scripts can currently be written in Microsoft's VBScript.
